What is Garbicz Festival?

Garbicz Festival is a one-of-a-kind, immersive music and arts celebration held on the pristine shores of Garbicz Lake in western Poland. Known for its enchanting forested setting, genre-blending music, and eco-conscious ethos, Garbicz is a transformative escape into nature, art, and self-expression.

A Brief History

Founded in 2013 by Berlin-based creatives and Polish collaborators, Garbicz has blossomed into one of Europe’s most beloved boutique festivals—an intimate celebration of electronic music, creativity, and collective joy.

Garbicz Festival 2025 Essentials

Dates: July 31 – August 4, 2025
Location: Garbicz Lake, near the German-Polish border
Theme: “Symphony of Senses” – a multi-sensory exploration through music, movement, and mindful connection.

Tickets: Available through the official Garbicz website. Registration typically opens in spring, with early access given to past attendees and crew.

Planning Your Adventure

Getting to Garbicz

Most attendees travel from Berlin (just 2.5 hours away) via car, bus, or festival-organized shuttles. Carpooling and eco-transport options are encouraged.

Take the Bassliner 

We strongly recommend taking one of the bassliner busses from Berlin Ostbahnhof. No change of trains and tracks and arrive directly on site with a drink in hand. Booking is available through their website. They usually add rides as bookings fill up, so don’t wait until the very end to catch your preferred slot. Journey takes approx. 2h in a perfect world, but be prepared for for potential border control checks, which can add to travel times. Bassliner Tickets are NOT INCLUDED in your ticket price.

Bus Checks: Please note there are regular bus checks for the Bassliner buses. German police is taking buses very regularly to a parking lot and luggage and people get scanned for illegal substances, assisted by sniffer dogs. So take this into consideration, but I’m sure you will all stay clean and neat when attending this festival 🙂

Camper Van Arrival

Pass through Garbicz village for accreditation and receive your Camper Sticker, granting access to the festival site. Each sleeping vehicle requires one sticker which can be bought with the tickets on the website; cars delivering wagons must park in our designated lot. Trust in our skilled traffic team and follow their instructions for a hassle-free experience. 

Car Arrival 

Secured parking is available throughout the festival and ticket is mandatory. Shuttles will go from car park to festival grounds 24/7. You can’t sleep in the car during the festival and you cannot leave your car anywhere else 

Train Arrival

Arrive at Rzepin (Poland) and share a 30-euro taxi to the site. Be aware of construction work and change of trains and tracks. Check your preferred connections in advance and regularly. Due to these conditions we strongly recommend taking the bassliner bus (see above) 

Check on Deutsche Bahn for Train connections within Germany and to Poland.

Airports & Transfers

If you’re flying in, Berlin Schönefeld is the nearest airport. For Bassliner passengers arriving by plane, the meeting point is at Berlin Ostbahnhof station. If you’re landing in Poland, Poznan Airport is the closest, located 149 km away (approximately 1:30 hours by car), but you’ll need to arrange your own transportation from there.

Your Garbicz Packing Checklist

• Camping Gear: Weather-resistant tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad
• Protection: Sunscreen, rain gear, sturdy and water-proof footwear
  • Rain Protection Note: Take Rubber Boots! You won’t regret it. Once it starts raining (which can occur due to German Summers), it can get very wet and muddy. So you will thank the advise for Rubber boots. Order them on Amazon for a very low price.
• Lighting: Portable LED lights or flashlights, Headlights for your nightly adventures or strolls across the camping grounds
• Swimwear: The lake is perfect for daily dips
• Eco-Friendly: Reusable water bottles, recycling bags
